1 Drain the artichokes from the can. Coarsely chop them.
2 Combine chopped chokes, Parmesan, and mayo into a microwave or oven-proof serving dish.
3 Microwave on high heat for 5 minutes, stopping occassionally to stir, to make sure that the dip gets heated evenly. Add fresh ground pepper and salt to taste.
Serve with sourdough bread, crackers, or pita wedges.

Just when you thought all the Christmas Shopping was done…..it’s time to go the Dallas Market Center and shop for the 2012 Fall and Holiday Season. It’s amazing to see the elaborate and colorful displays of every kind of holiday decoration you can imagine and even some that you can’t believe were imagined at all We go through many showrooms looking for everything from spooky witches and glitzy pumpkins, glittered poinsettias and hot cocoa mugs, to nativity sets to nutcrackers and everything in between.
There are some wonderful new things for both fall and Chrismtas and we are looking forward to sharing them with you later in the year. Meanwhile, we have 3 more days of shopping left!

January…. a New Year! There is something about the prospect of what the new year may bring that gives so many of us energy to set new goals, start new projects, and become inspired to rearrange our ‘nests’. Revaluating and reorganizing are usually the first steps. Finding a nice way to store things and keep them organized will help you evaluate just what to keep and what to give away. Weeding out and donating the things you are done with makes room to get the new things that bring a spark of energy to the room.
Something as simple as a new piece of wall art or a couple pillows can really lift a room and give it a new look without spending a lot of money and will allow you to change it up easily as you move through the seasons.

As I was sitting on the living room floor at 1 am, wrapping presents, waiting for the next batch of cookies to bake, and hoping the glue would soon be dry on the earrings I had made, I thought of a handful of last minute things that I needed to get. Thank goodness I am here, at Ben Franklin Crafts today. Curling ribbon, Scotch tape and just one more toy. Some of us just can’t seem to stop adding to the list until finally Christmas arrives and the planning for next Christmas can begin. Monday, the Super Christmas Clearance sale begins. All Christmas will be 50% Off. So, I will get a jump on my Christmas early and maybe that way I won’t find myself wrapping gifts at 1 am the day before Christmas eve. (Although I have to admit, wrapping gifts, the smell of warm cookies in the oven and a good Christmas movie is kind of fun).
