This is it, the final count down. 1 day until Christmas. Do you still have a list of things to do before Santa arrives? (you can track Santa’s journey here www.noradsanta.org)

As I was sitting on the living room floor at 1 am, wrapping presents, waiting for the next batch of cookies to bake, and hoping the glue would soon be dry on the earrings I had made, I thought of a handful of last minute things that I needed to get. Thank goodness I am here, at Ben Franklin Crafts today. Curling ribbon, Scotch tape and just one more toy. Some of us just can’t seem to stop adding to the list until finally Christmas arrives and the planning for next Christmas can begin. Monday, the Super Christmas Clearance sale begins. All Christmas will be 50% Off. So, I will get a jump on my Christmas early and maybe that way I won’t find myself wrapping gifts at 1 am the day before Christmas eve. (Although I have to admit, wrapping gifts, the smell of warm cookies in the oven and a good Christmas movie is kind of fun).

Believe it!

Two weeks +1 day and it will be Christmas Eve and only 5 Days until Hanukkah.  In January I vowed that each project I made would be a gift for Christmas. I started off full of enthusiam and bought stacks of fabric, strings of beads,  sheets of 12×12 paper, wool felt, yarn and more with the best of intentions. Now, the many Post It’s marking the pages of inspiration and  instruction in craft books and magazines, patterns all cut and ready only serve as reminders of projects undone.  I seem to suffer from Crafting ADD and found other things to make. Now I have 15 days. Which translates into maybe 10 good days of crafting left to complete my list of projects ( still have some baking to do). So, now I am in the hyper craft mode and am looking for quick, yet lovely and meaningful projects to make. Good thing I work at Ben Franklin Crafts!

Here are a couple of suggestions if you need some quick and easy projects. You can also check out our Pinterest Pin Board for some more ideas or come in and ask us. We always have a few projects up our sleeves, so to speak.

1. The banner in the photo above is super easy! The banner is pre-cut and all you have to do is decorate it with your favorite paper in the colors that suit you. 

2. Make some sweet earrings with the Tierra Cast holiday charms. A couple charms, add  Swarovski crystal beads and ear wires. Done.

3. Have an artist on your gift list? How about some 50% Off canvas and a great artists gift pack of oils, acrylics or watercolor.

4. Do you sew? Even just a little? Make some super easy Microwave Potato Bags. I got one last year as a gift and I love it. Ask for the instruction sheet when you pick out your fabric.

9. Wrap up a yummy Yankee Candle with a holiday dishtowel and give to the holiday hostess.

10. When all else fails…..GIFT CARD! 

Just to add to my time crunch I have a sleep over birthday party to host next weekend. Not much gift making going on then. It will be cupcakes and mustache lollipops!
